Turn your MarketWatch VSE files into your trade log.
Your files are processed on this page and never leave your device.

Getting your files from MarketWatch
- Sign in to MarketWatch and open your game portfolio.
- In the Portfolio section, select Download. This file lists the positions you currently hold and the price of each as of the moment you download it. It is saved as Holdings - [your name].csv.
- Scroll past Portfolio Performance to the Transactions section and select Download. This file contains your complete trade history. It is saved as Portfolio Transactions - [your name].csv.
- Drop both files above. To carry over comments or any other entries from a previous log, include that .xlsx file as well; your entries are preserved in the updated log.
How your trades are recorded
- Each buy or short is recorded as its own lot. Lots are never averaged.
- A sell or cover closes your most recent lot of the same size. If no lot matches, your most recent lots are closed first.
- A partial sell splits the lot into a closed portion and an open portion, both shaded amber.
- Once a position is fully closed, the next trade in that stock begins a new position.
